Welcome!
This is
my ninth year at California State University, Northridge. I am the acting director of the Teaching, Learning, and
Counseling Consortium. The consortium is comprised of the Mitchell Family Counseling Clinic, the Family Focus Resource &
Empowerment Center, the Los Angeles Times Literacy Clinic, the Special Education Lab, and the Berke Assessment Library and
Clinic.
I also
hold rank as an associate professor in the Department of Special Education. It is a pleasure working with CSUN
students and faculty. The teachers I work with are dedicated professionals who have a genuine desire to nurture
and support youth with disabilities. My colleagues are passionate about their disciplines and display a high level of
respect and collaboration for and with each other.
I am the
former director of the Family Focus Resource & Empowerment Center that serves families of children with disabilities
in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, and Antelope valleys. The center provides training, referrals, parent-to-parent
support, and record notebook training. Go to www.csunfamilyfocus.com for more information and please feel free to refer families
that might benefit from their services.
